Douglas and District Lions Club was founded in 1986 by a group of volunteers from the local community with the objective of providing support to families and community groups within the Douglas catchment area. Since then, its members, all volunteers, have endeavoured to enhance the lives of those most in need.
As part of a global service network whose motto is “We Serve” Douglas & District Lions is committed to doing whatever is necessary to help and support our local communities. Douglas & District Lions also supports Lions International in providing assistance to the victims of global disasters and humanitarian crises as they arise.
